As Djangos launched its e-commerce site, it faced the serious challenge of differentiating itself from the dozens of other online music and movie sites, each of which offered a comparable selection of products and had a similar-looking web site. Djangos moved from debating changes to implementing new ideas on a small scale, using the WebTrends Reporting Center reports to determine the impact of the changes, and then taking larger actions based on numbers derived from the analysis. With WebTrends traffic analysis, Djangos can make more intelligent decisions on the content and strategy of their web site. The result has been a large and relatively consistent rise in sales of 30 percent to 40 percent per month since the company began using WebTrends Reporting Center to guide site content.
