Cypress Semiconductor is an enterprise that takes communications very seriously, providing cutting edge technology to the industry. Cypress set out to identify a solution that would prevent the loss of employee productivity caused by time spent handling unnecessary email and limit exposure to inappropriate content on the job. At the same time, Cypress did not want to slow its email system nor lose legitimate work-related email while trying to reduce the influx of spam. Brightmail was the clear choice for Cypress Semiconductor in its search for an anti-spam. Following implementation of Brightmail, there was 90% reduction in complaints to the Helpdesk regarding spam. Employees at Cypress Semiconductor immediately reported a drastic decrease in the amount of spam infiltrating their inboxes. Brightmail's Anti-Spam technology identified 20% of Cypress' email as spam and eliminated it, reducing the number of undeleted email on servers.
