Bridon International LTD, a leading manufacturer and supplier of steel rope, was using an e-business system based on Active Server Pages written to a Microsoft Access database. Bridon wanted a resilient and scalable architecture that would be quick to develop and deploy. Key requirements included the ability to deploy the system to many more users, provide better tracking of orders, and reduce the cost of telephone ordering. They implemented the Oracle9iAS Portal since it would be easy for them to use their existing Oracle and HTML skills to satisfy their users straight away.
