Since 1926, Southern California Roofing (SCR) has provided a basic human need to commercial and industrial customers of all sizes. The Downey, Calif.-based roofing company is proud of its "old world" approach to craftsmanship with customers such as Target, Frito-Lay, and Boeing. In early 2001, SCR decided to balance its traditional commitment to customer service and quality with a focus on new, business-enhancing technology. The company was expanding rapidly into new markets, and the amount of data it needed to store was growing even faster. SCR also wanted to use the latest mobile technology to enable its workforce to be more productive on the job.
