First organized in 1884, Lincoln Federal is still located today in the heart of Indiana. Lincoln Federal offers full service banking through centers located in Hendricks, Morgan, Johnson, Clinton and Montgomery counties. The existing network was a myriad of shared connectivity of hubs and routers. Additionally, Gigabit Ethernet connectivity was needed within the data center to provide high-speed interconnects between the servers and storage pools and the network backbone. After evaluating several different networking products in the market, Lincoln Federal concluded that they could meet their LAN infrastructure needs with the PowerConnect switch product line from Dell.
