BASF, located in Ludwigshafen, Germany, is one of the World's leading chemical manufacturers, producing highly refined chemicals, synthetic materials, vehicle and industrial varnish, pesticides and oil and gas. BASF recognized that it needed a highly efficient anti virus solution in order to protect the EDP structure from the wide range of malware in circulation today. A comparison of the products available on the market showed that F-Secure Anti Virus was the best solution for the company's requirements, providing reliable protection against more than 60,000 viruses and their variations, as well as from worms and Trojans. So far over 21,000 clients and 200 servers have been equipped with F-Secure Anti Virus. Following the introduction of F-Secure Anti Virus, viruses, worms and Trojans are no longer a concern at BASF and the company is now considering introducing the software on all employees' Pocket PCs.
