A digital festival guide was introduced at the 2002 Sundance Film Festival, using the power of wireless mobility to simplify planning and scheduling. Running on a handheld computer, the information rich catalog served as a convenient rich media, interactive mobile planning tool for 500 attendees, effectively complimenting the print catalogue. Attendees are able to electronically access all the information contained in the printed catalog - and more. The result was a wireless solution that played the best supporting role for attendees, simplifying planning and scheduling of screenings and interviews throughout the three Utah venues.
