In rural west central Texas, up-to-date technology can be as scarce as the agricultural jobs that once supported the region - but not at Ranger College. The two-year school is committed to increasing its students' opportunities, both educationally and professionally, by providing high-speed Internet access throughout its eight classroom buildings and six dormitories. With just $50,000 from a technology grant at its disposal, Ranger College needed an affordable way to extend network connectivity to serve its students. Ranger College consulted PCNet and solved its networking problems simply and cost-effectively with a wireless network from 3Com.
