Portals have been around for several years. Web services are a more novel invention but are gaining quick acceptance in the corporate world. Realizing that portals and web services are a natural match, portal vendors are now rushing to add Web services technologies to their products. We believe that enterprise portals and Web services will help fulfill the promises of enterprise application integration.
