Sonic cDVD allows DVD authors who do not have the ability to write content to DVD media, to still deliver DVD formatted material (content generated and formatted according to the DVD-Video specification), by publishing it on CD media. The cDVD extension of the DVD physical specification allows DVD files to be written to, and played from, non-DVD media. Specifically, cDVD is DVD content written to CD-ROM. Sonic cDVD is a standard feature on all Sonic DVD authoring systems, from DVD right through to DVD Creator.
