During the summer of 2001, Microbanker sent detailed questionnaires to the leading vendors of Internet banking software. Twenty-seven companies responded with information on thirty programs. The companies provided answers to more than 290 questions about their systems. Here we summarize the aggregate trends in systems development.
Internet banking program functions and features have made some progress in the last year, primarily in the area of business banking. Almost all companies have developed functions for Internet business banking, and most have some built-in features to aid with one-to-one marketing on the Web.
