Character and Gesture Recognition
The ability of a pen based computer to recognize handwritten characters and the basic marks, or gestures, that allow the user to perform certain tasks. Gestures are hand-written signals that function as application commands. For example, in one pen operating system an X, or crossout, deletes whatever is beneath it.
