QuantumlATL’s Network-Attached Storage (NAS) enterprise tape library is a unique backup product that enables multiple data sources to backup directly to a network-attached ATL P-Series library. Embracing the Network Data Management Protocol (NDMP) open standard, ATL’s NAS Backup Solution for Filers allows NDMP hosts – such as NetApp® filers from Network Appliance™ – to directly backup their data over a Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) network to any available tape drive within a P3000 library. This highly scalable solution works with minimal backup server involvement and easily integrates into existing Ethernet environments. Customers may add filers or tape drives, as backup needs change with minimal cost or disruption. Unique to the industry, ATL offers the first automated NDMP Filer NAS solution.
