Misapplication, misuse, or accident can unleash the frightening powers of uncontrolled electrical energy. Such uncontrolled release of electrical energy will invariably result in damage to both life and property through electrical shock hazard and fire hazard. This uncontrolled flow of electrical energy is generally the result of such misapplication, misuse or accident and manifests itself in the form of electrical fault currents either in intended or unintended electrical circuits or paths.
