CCM offers several software components for integration with SMS including support for the Microsoft Management Console (MMC) and the ability to import SMS inventory information into CCM. SMS is also ideally suited to managing multiple CCM servers across LANs and WANs, and for providing complementary desktop management functions such as hardware and software inventory, software metering, network monitoring, and remote control. This paper provides detailed information regarding ON Command CCM and how it integrates with Systems Management Server and Windows 2000 RIS, plus background information concerning how the CCM/RIS integration technology works, and where to go for further information regarding Windows 2000 RIS and ON Command CCM.
