The following considerations need to be taken into account to ensure a smooth transition from a Pentium II processor based platform to a Pentium III processor based platform. Some of the OEM vendor’s components may or may not support all of the following requirements. Check with your OEM vendor on their current policy on such upgrades. Insure the motherboard is capable of supplying the appropriate voltage and current required by the Pentium III processor. Refer to the processor datasheet for exact processor specifications.
