Do you have an intranet? It’s basically a Web server connected via TCP/IP to one or more Web browsers. This phrase can also be used to describe the Internet, but the connected browsers can be anywhere in the world. As you can see there are two basic elements in the Web environment: the Web server and the Web browser. We’ll mention one more element, the firewall, which is optional from a simple communications perspective, but essential from the security perspective. SAS software is part of your solution. This paper provides a framework for answering implementation questions. It also points you to the components of the SAS System that are most appropriate for addressing the needs of specific application scenarios.
