Reduced Depth CROMACLEAR CRT technology was developed by NEC Technologies to address the need for a space-saving, high-quality, cost-effective CRT solution. This paper explains reduced depth CRT technology in detail, including design challenges and advantages. Although flat panel LCD monitors lead in the limited-space display market, pricing and color depth limitations make CRT-based displays the best choice for price-constrained users and color-intensive applications. A reduced depth CRT provides a smaller cabinet design that takes up considerably less space than conventional CRT monitors, making CRT technology even more appealing for space-conscious users.
