Carrier-class SLA verification systems used by Service Providers and trusted independent sources, such as VSPs, have a key role to play in the evolution of Internet-driven services. Accurate and objective measurements from a neutral party’s products or services provide the foundation for assessing delivered service quality. Customers are willing to pay premiums, but only if they have confidence they are getting the expected value. Service Providers benefit from an SLA verification service that builds customer confidence. They are also freed to focus their internal staff and resources on creating new revenue opportunities. Providers offering SLA verification based on their deployment of a neutral party’s system, or in partnership with an independent VSP, will gain an advantage in a highly competitive marketplace.
