A Smart card is similar to a credit card in both size and choice of material. Instead of a magnetic strip on the back of the card a smart card sports a small gold colored computer chip about one centimeter wide. The use of biometrics within the card itself will mean that a person can be reliably identified by a hand, fingerprint retina of the eye or voice.
