Business continuity management is here to stay. Risks to business will change, as will solutions for managing risk, but the need to manage risk will remain. Business continuity management will react to changes in the business world that it is there to protect. By far the greatest change over the next few years will be the move to electronic business and many organisations will need to re-invent themselves to prosper in the new digital world. For example, ‘middle-men’ will need to add value to their service or they will be bypassed as producers find it increasingly easy to deal direct with the end customer.
