While desktops developers have had a chance to absorb this new approach to thinking about software. Embedded developers have remained mostly unaware of it except in passing. In this paper I’ll introduce you to COM programming with an emphasis on applying it in Embedded systems. In particular I’ll focus on the concepts behind COM and it’s simplicity. We’ll look at the COM implementations in Windows CE and also look at how to use COM when the OS does not yet provide a COM library implementation.
