Enterprise Information Portals will continue to grow rapidly in functionality. Organizations are just beginning to understand what is possible by combining universal communication, business intelligence and workflow management. HP, for example, has introduced a whole new area of e-Commerce called e-Services to support businesses in the manufacturing, engineering, and product services domain. HP's enormous success in the e-Services arena, multi-terabyte portals, and warehouses should make it a finalist on customers' short list as they move to Internet Chapter 2, the era of e-Services.
