For ISPs and providers of services within the enterprise, the TSM program creates a practical way to implement penalty-based SLAs, enabling ISPs to differentiate their services from competitors and the enterprise to confirm the ISPs are delivering the agreed upon level of service. Cisco TSM solves a core challenge for vendors of service management applications, because it can be configured to provide the net-centric service-level management metrics from the Cisco infrastructure and make the data available to third-party applications using standards-based XML interfaces.
